Drumnadrochit
Drumnadrochit is a popular village situated around half way up Loch Ness on the A82 it is also only a couple of miles from the popular Urquhart Castle. The main tourist attraction in the village is the Loch Ness Exhibition Centre.
This can be found in the village centre and it is an award winning tourist attraction which has been rated five star by the Scottish Tourist Board. The centre looks at the legend of Loch Ness in great detail combining scientific findings and conjecture. It provides information on not only the Loch Ness Monster but the history of Loch Ness.
The evidence from all the main sighting are displayed here and you a free to come to your own conclusions after examining it.
There is a limited selection of bars and restaurants in the village with the Fiddlers Cafe Bar and Glen Restaurant the main eating establishments. These are situated close to each other and down the hill from the Visitors Centre.
There are a few accommodation options with bed and breakfasts, self catering and hostel accommodation in Drumnadrochit available. Prices are reasonable, Drumnadrochit is on the Great Glen Way route and it is a popular stopping point with walkers.
